Suv rodeo izusu door handle?

My grandson shut my drivers door really hard and now the door wont open. The unlock on is up and the romote fab unlocks it, I also can unlock it with the key but the handle won't open the door. Please help if you can. is there something I can do. I have to leave the window down and it will open from the inside handle but not the outside handle. Thank you so much if you can help me.
