Is there a standalone DVD Movie duplicator?

I'm looking for a unit for a computer-illiterate friend. Their child does a great job of scratching their movie discs until they no longer play well. I want to get them a unit that can make a backup copy of their movies (which probably have some form of copy protection?), so their child can ruin a copy instead of an original. Are there any simple user-friendly products like this? Any reasonably priced?
