Title of a robin hood book?

There was a book I read as a child (which leads me to believe that it was a children's book, plus it was illustrated...) in which either robin hood or maid marion dies of poison at the end (I am leaning towards robin hood). I remember the illustrations really had an impact on me, and I would like to read it again. Help?
